WORKSHOP: The Nonprofit Alternatives to EOS

A free 60-minute Digital Workshop for nonprofit leaders who are done running their organization on a system built for someone else.

This workshop is capped at 10 people to keep it interactive and tailored to your needs.

You've probably had the conversation. Someone on your leadership team brought up EOS. Maybe you read Traction yourself. You were intrigued. The structure, the clarity, the rhythm of it all made sense.

But something kept you from fully committing (or maybe you've started to try it and you're noticing the sand in the gears). The language was subtly off. The model assumed things about your organization that weren't true. You weren't wrong to hesitate. EOS is a powerful system. It just wasn't designed for nonprofits.

So as a nonprofit, what are your legit actual options?

THE PROBLEM

SOUND FAMILIAR?

  • =Your team is busy but the mission isn't moving as fast as it should.
  • =You've got vision at the top and execution at the bottom, but nothing connecting them.
  • =You've looked at EOS, OKRs, or other frameworks and felt like you should always have to adapt something.
  • =You know the execution gap is real. You think about it more than you'd like to admit.
  • =You know you need a system. You just haven't found one built for how nonprofits actually work.

A Digital Workshop.
Not a Webinar.

We make this small on purpose. 10 people. Total.

IN 60 MINUTES YOU'LL :

Diagnose your current system (every org has one, intentionally or not)

Map exactly where your organization is gaining momentum and where it's bleeding it, across seven operational areas, in real time.

Walk all 3 Paths to choose from

We'll give you an honest look at your real options: adapt EOS, build your own, or use a system built natively for nonprofits. The costs, the tradeoffs, and the honest drawbacks of each.

Look at a real case study

Not a highlight reel. An actual before-and-after from a nonprofit that went through this decision and what changed when they did.

Leave knowing your next step

Not a vague sense of direction. A clear answer to the question: which path is actually right for your organization?

WHO ITS FOR

Is This Built for You?

✓  YES, if you are...

  • An ED, CEO, COO, or senior operations leader
  • Leading an organization with 5–150 staff
  • Responsible for making the mission run — not just talking about it
  • Tired of bridging the strategy–execution gap alone
✓  NOT, if you are...

  • You're looking for a passive lunch-and-learn
  • You're not yet in an operational decision-making role
  • You already have a functioning system you genuinely love

What You'll Walk Away With

Three Things in 60 Minutes.

Clarity on why your current system isn't working

Not a vague feeling...an actual diagnosis. We'll walk through the eight areas where nonprofit operations either gain momentum or lose it, and you'll score your organization in real time.

A clear picture of what all three paths actually look like

Adapt EOS, build your own, or use something built natively for nonprofits. The components, the costs, the requirements, and the real drawbacks of each one laid out honestly.

A clear answer to the question most leaders never ask

By the end, you'll know which path fits your organization and why the other two probably don't.

about impact co.

Why We Built This

Impact Co. exists because nonprofit work is too important to be held back by inconsistent systems that cause mission drift, financial stress, confusion, and burnout. You deserve a way of working that supports your mission, strengthens your team, and creates space for leaders to lead. We've worked with over 1,300 nonprofits, from $700K organizations to $1.3B institutions. The same pattern kept showing up. We built a system around it.

This Is a Low-Risk Place to Start.

This session is intentionally small so the conversation stays real. We cap it at TEN PEOPLE because that's where everyone participates. When the seats are gone, the next group goes to the waitlist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is EOS a good fit for nonprofits?
EOS works well for businesses. For nonprofits, the core logic holds but the framework assumes a for-profit operating environment. Fundraising, board governance, mission accountability, and volunteer management don't have a native home inside EOS. Most nonprofit teams that try it end up building parallel systems to cover the gaps, which defeats the purpose of having a system at all.

What is the nonprofit alternative to EOS?
There are three real options for nonprofits looking for an operating system: adapt EOS to fit your context, build your own from scratch, or use one built natively for nonprofits. This workshop walks through all three, including the honest costs and tradeoffs of each, so you can decide which path fits your organization.

What is ImpactOS?
ImpactOS is a nonprofit operating system built specifically for mission-driven organizations. It covers the eight areas where nonprofits either gain operational momentum or lose it: decisions, staff workflow, development and revenue, vision and execution, culture, meetings, impact outcomes, and leadership structure. Nothing borrowed, nothing that requires translation.

Why doesn't EOS work for nonprofit operations?
EOS was designed around a for-profit company model. When nonprofits apply it, they typically find that fundraising and development has no structural home, mission accountability gets reduced to a profit substitute metric that doesn't quite fit, and the language and framework quietly push teams toward a business operating logic that sits at odds with how nonprofits actually function. The system works, just not for this kind of organization.
